Deenk - Open Your Mind / Too Dusty Remix

(Original Mix) The possibilities for mind expansion are endless in Deenk's Open your Mind. Eccentric psytrance squelches, pad swells, a guitar like synth, and distorted vocals set the atmosphere of this track while a strong driving bass carries the track into the breakdown. The breakdown grooves with authority at half time while an 808 sub bass adds strong contrast to this track before it climaxes and releases the listener's mind.

(Too Dusty Remix) Turn dreams into reality with Too Dusty's Progressive Psy take on Deenk's Open your Mind. Cascading and falling ambient pads gently introduce the listener before giving them a dose of reality with a driving tech trance bass-line. A gritty, wobbled bass-line takes the listener on a hypnotic, mind expanding, journey into a funky, guitar-like synth melody. Then the track climaxes hard, and releases smoothly into progressive tech grooves.

Chevy One - Closer Falls Feat. Jay Lucco (Original Mix)
Beatport Breaks Top Artist Chevy One Hooks Up with Blazer's New Label "Neom Recordings" For a Full Speed PSY-Breaks Theme Featuring Vocals from UK Artist Jay Lucco.

This track is a sneaky killer. It starts small, lures you in, then goes big. By the time the syncopated synth line kicks in- you know you’re on a ride. The song unfolds around 7 very dynamic builds and well-placed synth hooks throughout. The vocals on this track are limited and strategic-- adding a welcome element to this fine track.

Review : Blazer – Renegade (Original Mix)

On the Artist:
Blazer, one of Spain's established producers continues to create quality work with NEOM Recording's first release. He stays true and expands upon his signature Psychedelic Tech Funk Breaks sound with Renegade. This track is an amazing follow up and continues to push and build on textures explored in his earlier remixes of Quadrat Beat's BlackJack and Aggresivnes's Futurasia. Blazer's Renegade has been feautured in Beatman and Ludmilla's - Breakout Breeze - Winter Edition 2012.

First Listen:
Renegade opens with very tight yet deep percussion. The kick drum hits you in the chest while the rest of the drum work is very clean, and punchy. The percussion alone draws a lot of attention to this track as Blazer's instrumentation accentuates his choice of a broken beat quite well. A driving Tech-trance style bass-line in the style of Simon Patterson and Jordan Suckley drives the energy forward early in the track. The lead is a refreshing take on a classic 1980's Electro Pop sound with added funk and glitched stutter effects. With this track's huge, rich, atmospherics, and higher energy levels, Blazer definitely uncorks the attitude, opening fire first leaving questions for later. This track's generous amount of granulated synth work and clever distortion types carry the character of this track quite well and it lives up to the name, Renegade.

Repeat Play:
Each time I listen to this track, I am drawn more towards the electrified pad work and the heavy, thick TB303 arpeggiation. The electric, phased, live wire, pad work captures attention and elevates the listener. One of the many bass instruments modeled after the TB303 has a unique feel and is highly reminiscent of the classic sounds used in old school Psy-Trance by likes such as Juno Reactor and Art of Trance. It almost takes several listening sessions just to take in how involved, complex and layered this track really is. Later in the track the risers are met with stuttered effects, complex drops, additional funky grooves, bass stabs, and robotic attitude. Once again, Blazer, has blended familiar and distinctly modern sounds to create a future classic in the Psy-Breaks genre. Renegade, without any question has repeat play ability.

Bottom Line:
Blazer has done it again with a track that definitely earns the essential rating. This track has drive, the bass-line is very complex with many layers of instrumentation. It is very effective at commanding the listener to groove to this track. The bass-line, the melody, psychedelic influences, or atmospheric effects give the listener many options on which element they will bond with first. This track belongs in every Break-Beat and Psy-Break collection. Renegade, is very effective in preparing the club system for it's imminent destruction mid to late set. Personally, I can not wait to hear where NEOM Recordings and Blazer go from here.

BLAZER - Renegade (Original Mix)
Renegade, starts heavy and in-your-face. Drums are punchy and tight, the synths are unique, heavy and fresh. Modern granular synth hooks combined with dramatic builds and dynamic drops-- Renegade will pump you up.This tracks is an must-have.
Blazer - Renegade (Original Mix) [NEOM001] by NEOM RECORDINGS Charlie Kane Remix
In the mood for a nice Tech Funk track!  It boasts a beefy synth bassline, and the substantial heavy drums add emphasis without overpowering the track. I hear a touch of glorious 90s acid at times, but this track is far from dated. The ramp of the noise sweeps are fresh and well placed.
Blazer - Renegade (Charlie Kane Remix) [NEOM001] by NEOM RECORDINGS BLAZER - Renegade (Tectum Remix)
This remix is the best of both worlds. Keeps the same heart pounding bass-line from the original but added a light airiness with beautiful synths. Certain parts feel dark in a good way. This is track has some welcome surprises  especially in the break down. I won't spoil it, but check this track out.
